BFP After 3 Years

After seeing most of my friends get pregnant, have their kid, get pregnant again and have their second kid- Infertility wore me down. I'm 32 yrs old and never been pregnant. For the first year of trying, me and my husband were so excited every month at the possibility of a BFP and every month our hopes were crushed. The second year, we started seeing a fertility specialist. I tracked my BBT and used ovulation prediction kits. I found out I had a short luteal phase. I would start spotting 8-10 days after I ovulated, which was usually on day 17-18. My REI saw an endometrioma on both my ovaries and given my family history of endometriosis, said that I likely had that too. I was crushed. I was in residency working 80 hours a week, so I didn't really have the time or energy to keep following up every month with my REI, so after trying one round of femara with a trigger shot (which failed), I started following an endometriosis diet.

I read about it on the internet and I saw an acupuncturist once (yes, I even tried that!) who suggested the same diet to me. It was hard to follow! But I did it for three months, and managed to get my first BFP! Just google it=) Anyways- my advice is to eat healthy and pray. I'm not overly religious, but the one thing that was made clear to me was that things happen not when we want them to, but when it's supposed to. This is something that's hard to see when you are going through it, but is clear when looking back. I don't think the "Relax and let it happen technique" is for everyone either. I was studying for my board exam and was my most stressed when I got my BFP!

As for the details: We BD'd 4 times that cycle: CD 10,12,17,18. On CD18, my husband and I went to listen to some live music and I had one too many chocolate martinis- we drunk BD'd and I ovulated on Day 19=)

I really had no different symptoms except that I did not spot like normal. And trust me- I have had 3 years experience at symptom spotting! I had less than a drop of dark brown blood on 9 dpo and noticed some gum bleeding that same day. But that was it. I normally start spotting then and it doesn't stop until AF. I tested on 15 dpo and it was positive=)

I'm 6 months preggo now and having a boy!! Good luck ladies and don't lose faith=)
