Amusing Little BFP Story....

Ladies,

I wanted to stop in and tell you a little bit about what lead me to my BFP.

Last period was Aug 3
Ovulation day 13th cd11
BD the night of the 11th with Pre-Seed, morning of 13th with Pre-Seed and had ewcm, and night of the 14th with Pre-Seed and a Softcup
AF due 30th

DH and I have been ttc #1 for the last 2 months. I have been using the Ovacue monitor and really love it. It's a little pricey at about $300, but I think it's worth it since it pretty much told me that I have been calculating wrong for years! I have been going along with the the whole 28 day cycle with day 14 being O day for as long as I could remember. I found out I was very wrong. The two months DH and I 'tried' to conceive (I say tried loosely because we just let fate be our guide and used nothing), I found out that I was missing the window every time. Fast forward 2 months, and Ovacue tells me I am actually O'ing on CD11... no wonder why I didn't get pregnant... I was missing my fertile window!

Thought I was pregnant last month since I had a ton of 'symptoms'. Nope. AF came and went, and then ...I. Got. Serious....

I told myself, I am 34 years old, and I need to give this the old college try before they close the school, and don't offer anymore classes.

I bought FertileCM and FertilAid along with Pre-Seed and Softcups. I took the FertileCM and FertilAid up until and a little after O, but I didn't like it. Instead of increasing my CM, it kind of dried me up, so I stopped taking it. Hubby was out of town the week just before my O day, and I was bummed out because I thought that I would miss my window. He got home Sunday night, and was tired and really didn't want to 'preform'. So whats a fertile gal to do? I made him have sex with me, thats what! Yup, I sure did. I couldn't miss this! Poor guy. Needless to say, we both didn't see stars that night, but you get the idea. ;) We skipped the next day since hubby was sick and got down to business the next morning, or 'ovulation day'. We had used Pre-Seed both times. We BD'd one last time during the window the day after O at night also using Pre-Seed. Along with the Pre-Seed, I popped in a Softcup to keep the spermies up near my cervix.

I really thought I was out this month. No joke. I was a desert down there, and thought I didn't get enough BD time in to really count. Que the sad trombone.

So I am laying in bed and reading all the twoweekwait.com stories and I get up to go to the bathroom. I found brown discharge, much like the last days of af, in my underwear. I had no cramping with this, and it was rather a surprised to find. Was this remnants of implantation bleeding? Could I be starting my period? Gosh I hope not. It was way to early at 11dpo (cd22) for that monster. I told my husband that I was probably going to start my period tomorrow, and that it was back to the drawing board. Que more sad trombones.

Waiting.....no af. The next day I took a Dollar Store pregnancy test. Shows a VERY faint line. I take one the next day. Same thing. Very faint. I don't really believe that I am pregnant, so I call DH in to take a look. With his dude eye (not one of our sophisticated, 'I can spot that almost non existent line from across the room', eye), he says he doesn't really see anything. He thinks it could be the test. I show him the 4 tests i've taken, all with faint lines. Oh really? Its the test huh? I ask him to pee in a cup so I can give HIM a pregnancy test just to prove to him that its me making that line and not the test. I don't think I've ever secretly prayed that my husband wasn't pregnant, but I did that day. His came up stark white. Okay, so I'm pregnant. Whats next?

The tests have been getting darker every day, and I am getting more and more excited! My sister and a few close friends have had miscarriages, so I have my 'lets pick out baby furniture' on reserve. I am excited, nervous and terrified all at the same time. This is quite a leap into the unknown! Other than the brown discharge, I really didn't have any symptoms. Here's to a healthy 9 months!

K
