I have been a member on the Two Week Wait on and off over the last year and a half.. ALthough I haven't always been active, I have faithfully stalked. : ) I promised to come back and share my story when we finally conceived.
My husband and I had been trying to conceive for over 18 months. We started infertility testing and treatments. We found absolutely nothing wrong with either of us, so the doctor could only assume it was hit or miss with my ovulation. For a few months I was temping and did see the temp spike, so this confused me.. But I did stop temping because I was trying hard not to focus so much. We went on a month of Femara, but decided to wait a little longer since really, there was no problems. There were times it was very frustrating and very devastating when it was another month without a BFP... I am a photographer, so I focused time and energy on my work as much as I could. Although when other people tell you "Don't think about it, just relax and it'll happen." Well easier said than done as I'm sure many of you know..
Anyway... after trying hard, and then spending a few months not planning when we would do the deed - last month we "planned" again. Not specifically, but I gave us a 5 day window that we should try in. We had a good month, we were in good moods, and we just had some fun - needless to say, something worked and finally got our BFP!!! :) Here are my symptoms:
Cycle Day 1 - May 15th
Ovulation Day - May 29th (I didn't specifically keep track of when we BD'ed, I honestly went old school and counted 2 weeks from CD1. I used the 2 days before, that day, and the day after as targets lol)
From 1 DPO til NOW - Sore breasts.. I sometimes get sore breast before AF and then the pain goes away and she arrives. This time, the pain never went away..
8 DPO - Mood Swings. Usually this happens a few days before AF, so I figured she was on her way,
9 DPO - Nothing of Note.
10 DPO - Spotting. Implantation? (more of a light brown mixed with creamy CM sorry for TMI). Even More Moodiness. Like off the charts moody, sensitive, and angry.
11 DPO - Usually AF shows after spotting and nothing? Hmm Still Sore BBs.. Starting to wonder..
12-13 DPO - Very Tired and BBs still SO Sore
14 DPO - Extremely exhausted. Had a photo shoot that evening and got very warm almost sweaty during the shoot (sorry) and got a massive headache. Thought it was odd so I picked up a test on my way home.
There really wasn't a whole lot of symptoms for me that were beyond what I normally go through - it just seems that the moodiness was amped up and the sore bbs never went away - other than that by 11-14 DPO I just sort of had a feeling.
Here is my 10pm, no hold, possibly diluted, 14 DPO happiest evening of my life to date BFP on a First Response : ) : )
