I am still in shock! We had been trying for about six months now. I am 37 and have two children ages 6 and 3 with one loss in between at 16 weeks. I recently had an appointment with the OB to check out my irregular cycles. He attributed it to a "mid-thirties hormonal hiccup". Anyway, my FSH came back at 6 and my ultrasound was all clear. My last two cycles had been pretty normal considering months past.
This month we didn't really try as we were going on vacation soon and I wanted to feel good. I think we only BD twice the whole month and I got up right away and went to the bathroom! I just didn't think it would happen. On CD 29 I had very very scant brown spotting so figured AF was on her way. I always spot now before AF. The next day nothing! Weird I think. The following day scant very scant brown spotting in the morning. I Qtipped to check things out. Clean as a whistle. Cervix seems low and firm. Hmmm. I decide to wait the rest of the day. Getting ready to leave for vacation the next day. By afternoon still nothing. It's CD 31 by now and nothing by late afternoon. Text DH to get test. He brings home an EPT early result. POAS with very diluted urine late afternoon. Immediate + I could not believe it!!! I retested the following AM with FMU and blazing +. So excited! Really not to many symptoms except sore boobs, fatigue, and emotional.
I am now 5 weeks and 4 days and so thrilled!
