Wow, I can't believe I am so fortunate to write this post! This is my first BFP!! It's been 9 months of trying with the last cycle being an IUI. I thought I was out the very first day. I got a positive OPK, but ended up Oing that night. My IUI was the next day. I thought I had missed my window because usually IUIs are before O and DH and I didn't BD within 3 days of Oing. So, you can get your BFP post O IUI!! I had NO SYMPTOMS aside from implantation spotting and cramping. That is when I kind of knew something was up.
1-7DPO (1-6DPIUI): No symptoms
8-10DPO (7-9DPIUI): Mild cramping which is unusual for me, but I have had this before and my usual PMS symptoms (tender bbs, acne, moody). Definitely thought I was out. On the night of 10DPO I had a substantial pain on my left side that felt like ovulation pain. It only lasted a minute. I also couldn't stand the feeling of my pants on my abdomen the entire day. I felt so bloated, which I never get as a PMS symptom.
11DPO (10DPIUI): Light brown spotting at 6am on toilet paper. Three wipes and it was gone for the rest of the day. I was worried that this meant my LP was down to 10 days and AF would arrive shortly. I always spot minutes to hours before AF. My usual PMS symptoms.
12DPO (11DPIUI): No more spotting. Cramping subsided. My usual PMS symptoms.
13DPO (12DPIUI): More cramping. My usual PMS symptoms. Heartburn (usually an O symptom).
14DPO (13DPIUI): AF due. No cramping. My usual PMS symptoms. Heartburn.
15DPO (14DPIUI): Heartburn. BFP!!!
Those of you symptom checking, here's a tip: no pregnancy symptoms will appear until after implantation (6-12DPO). Take that first week to relax and try not to think about every little thing that's going on with your body.
I'm so glad I decided to go to an RE after 8 months of trying. I got all clear tests, which put my mind at ease. The one issue I was having was I never had good EWCM. I believe that was my problem and DHs guys were not getting to the right place.
